We are seeking a dynamic and creative Program Associate to lead our social media and communications efforts, while also supporting broader program activities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing research organization and shape how we engage with the public.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms

– Create engaging digital content: posts, stories, reels

– Assist in the creation, editing, and promotion of podcasts

– Draft newsletters, blogs, and communication materials

– Support the planning and execution of research projects, events and workshops

– Monitor, evaluate, and report on communication performance

– Support as a Principle Secretary of organization.

Himavat aims to facilitate scientific research and exploration on various aspects of Himalayan Environment by offering technical, administrative and logistic facilities.   

A. Program Support Intern

We are looking for passionate, proactive, and detail-oriented individuals with a background in environmental science, agriculture, forestry, or management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a research environment. Ideal candidates should excel in teamwork, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the coordination of research programs, including document management and logistics.
• Assist with general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of programs.
• Conduct literature reviews to support research initiatives and assist in designing research proposals.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure all program tasks and timelines are met.
• Provide any additional support required for program activities, events, and research initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education: Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in forestry, agriculture, environmental science, or related fields.

Experience: 0-1 years, preferably with internships in research-based organizations or related fields.

Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent written communication skills and ability to handle professional emails; basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable managing multiple tasks efficiently.

This is NOT a job; potential candidates should aim to develop a strong foundation as a researcher in any area of interest. There are possibilities of research publication.
